The European Federation of Tourist Guide Associations (FEG) was founded more than 30 years ago. FEG's mission is to represent the tourist guiding profession in Europe. FEG's aims are to publicise and improve the quality of service offered to all visitors to Europe; to bring together and strengthen professional tourist links across Europe and to promote professional training.
FEG is committed to tourist guide training and supports the European Standard on Tourist Guide Training and Qualifications (Standard EN 15565). The FEG Training Consultancy Group has developed a series of online and face-to-face training courses and seminars that can be delivered in several languages such as English, French, German, Greek, Italian, Polish, Spanish and Portuguese. The themes covered are: "The Art of Guiding", "Sharing Best Practice", "T-Guide: guiding people with Learning Difficulties", "Dark Tourism", "Handling Difficult People", "Best Practice for guiding Museums and Art Galleries", "Cultural Awareness for Tourist Guides", "Internet Marketing for Tourist Guides" and many more.
