Celebrating 90 Years of SNATTI and 40 Years of FEG
Celebrating 90 Years of SNATTI and 40 Years of FEG
We are proud to announce that the 25th FEG European Tourist Guide Convention will take place in the historic and vibrant city of Porto, Portugal, from the 17th to the 22nd of November 2026.
This special edition of the convention will be a landmark event, celebrating two significant milestones in the professional guiding sector: the 90th anniversary of SNATTI – the National Union of Tourist Guides of Portugal – and the 40th anniversary of FEG – the European Federation of Tourist Guide Associations.
Under the theme “Strengthening Bonds”, the congress will focus on reinforcing cooperation, solidarity, and professional development among European qualified tourist guides. It will be an opportunity to reflect on our shared history, honour our achievements and look forward to building a stronger, more connected future for our profession.
Participants will enjoy a rich programme of conferences, workshops, cultural visits and networking events in one of Europe’s most beautiful and culturally dynamic destinations. Porto, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and gateway to the Douro Valley, offers the perfect setting for this celebratory gathering.
We look forward to welcoming colleagues from across Europe and beyond to join us in Porto in 2026, as we celebrate our past and work together towards a sustainable and united future for tourist guiding in Europe.

November is an excellent time to visit Portugal, offering a mild and comfortable climate combined with a relaxed atmosphere, ideal for exploring the country at a pleasant pace. Daytime temperatures typically range between 15°C and 20°C, particularly in coastal areas and major cities. With fewer crowds and soft autumn light, November provides very favourable conditions for sightseeing and outdoor activities. To make the most of your stay, we recommend packing light layers, a jacket or sweater for cooler evenings, and comfortable walking shoes. November in Portugal combines enjoyable weather with authentic cultural experiences.
